Charmed is the latest hentai game by the one and only rule34game. The game has been in development for a bit and smut enthusiasts have followed its progress with enthusiasm… and for a good reason! Charmed promises a uniquely interactive experience starring some rather “familiar” faces that you usually wouldn’t associate with this kind of game.

Rule34game somehow avoided legal ninjas by delivering a porn game with some of the world’s most recognizable princesses – without calling them by name. You know who they are, I know who they are, but let’s not state the obvious and pretend we didn’t just see Belle pleasuring herself in a smut game, alright?

With the latest version, v0.0.2r, rule34game introduced some welcome changes to the game’s overall flow and presentation, making it feel even more like a complete package rather than just a demo.

A World of Magic

You play as a down-on-his-luck guy who has a hard time finding a job – fortunately, the game character also shares the same characteristics. Broke and desperate, our brave hero soon finds refuge in Enchantville, a place where some of the most beautiful girls (and your ex) happen to live.

It will be up to you to make your reputation anew and start a new life surrounded by these legally-distinct beauties. The game feels like a mix between Summertime Saga and Princess Trainer Gold Edition, and with v0.0.2r, the game’s world is now more fleshed out than ever before.

Beautiful Belles

One thing that rule34game dominates is mastering the Disney art style. Every scene in Charmed looks as if it came straight out of an animated film. Character models look just as they did in the movies, and even their personalities closely resemble their big-screen counterparts.

Of course, rule34game couldn’t risk a knock on their door by the Mouse’s lawyers, so you get to name some of the characters to avoid any messy copyright laws. Want to call Kira the name of your ex? In v0.0.2r you can do that! Honestly, I think being able to rename most characters is even better than just having their real names show up on screen every time I talk to them. I mean, everyone knows that’s Pocahontas riding that tree branch; you can’t fool me, rule34game!

Visual Novel With a Purpose

Another aspect that’s impressively well done in Charmed is the overall presentation. I know this is just v0.0.2r, but it feels as if we’re almost getting close to the 1.0 release with the amount of content and polish on display. Sure, there’s still room for some improvements and content, but I’ve played “finished” hentai games that are nowhere close to what this game has to offer.

Now, I’m personally not a huge fan of AI art, and some of the backgrounds in this game look much better than others, but I understand that this is just v0.0.2r, and there might be some room for improvement in the future. My recommendation for rule34game would be to focus on retouching some of the backgrounds (that sign on the outside of the pub is as AI-generated as you can get) before tackling more content. The game already plays well, but it can also look great with a bit of extra effort.
