Bunny Black

Today we are checking out the first Bunny Black game which is a sex-filled dungeon crawler trilogy. The game has a bit of a cult following and it is a game that I have actually been meaning to play for quite some time. It mixes in visual novel elements, RPG elements along with the dungeon crawling aspect, and of course, it has a ton of sex as well and I mean a ton of sex.

Darx The Destroyer!

The story that is on offer here in Bunny Black is not bad at all. The main character is a dude called Darx. Drax arrives at the room of The Overlord a demon style warrior and she also happens to be hot. Drax is not prepared for this and ends up dead. Do not worry, he is resurrected and now he is strong and can fight and bang whoever he wants.

Pretty much every bit of story that happens in this game is just moving one sexual conquest to the next. I will not lie, it is ridiculous stuff and it can get pretty brutal, but it works well enough and if you do not take it too seriously, you will probably get a kick out of it.

Swinging Fists And Swinging Di….

The game sees you taking control of Darx and then you get to add a whole bunch of hot chicks to your party that you can of course have sex with. The game has you moving around dungeons in the first person and you can talk to people as well of course. Here you move the story along, get missions, and so on. This part of the game is rather basic, but it gets the job done.

The combat is quite simple and sees you taking control of your party. You can have nine people in a battle (I think) at once and you have them all on a 3 x 3 grid. The enemies that you fight have the same thing and it is up to you to figure out the best way to go about each battle. You can level up, get new equipment, and so on as you would expect. It is perfectly playable, but the whole game is just rather unremarkable.

Taking On All Comers

I really dig the art style that they went for in Bunny Black. The presentation is done in a few different styles. When you are doing the talking sections, it has a rather high-quality CG look to it all and this is the best-looking aspect of the game. When you battle, it changes to a kind of 16-bit style that I really like. The little characters look awesome and I like the grid design.

The dungeon crawling sections are not the highest quality, but I think they get the job done. They remind me of the Phantasy Star game that was on the original Sega Master System if you have ever played that.

As the first game in the series, I think that Bunny Black stated things off pretty damn well. It is not the most refined lewd dungeon crawler I have played, but it is certainly playable enough. I probably would suggest playing the second or third game over this one, to be honest, but If you like the idea of playing as this badass dude in this demonic world, you might want to start here at the beginning.

Pros:

  • I thought that Darx was an “interesting” character to play as
  • Plenty of girls you can have sex with
  • There are tons of high-quality CGs to check out here
  • The combat in the game is quite fun
  • It is rather easy to get into

Cons:

  • The whole game is a bit rough around the edges
  • The sequels are better than this
