Anno Domini Godfather

Being the horn dog that I am, as soon as I saw that Anno Domini Godfather featured a selection of hot babes from various anime movies, I knew that this was a game I had to check out. This is probably best described as a lewd adventure game, as it does have a bit more gameplay than you would typically get with a lewd visual novel. I will say that this is the kind of game that you pretty much play for the art, as the stuff surrounding it is not the best if I am being brutally honest. However, if you do like the look of the characters, I would still say that this is worth your time.

A Whole New World

The story of Anno Domini Godfather is something that I thought sounded really cool. An evil queen and princess are ruling this fantasy world, and we play as a regular huntsman who is going to rise up, become king, and lead the way that they see fit. This is very much a play on the classic Disney stories, and I would say that Snow White and Aladdin are probably the movies that the developer has taken the most inspiration from. There are some pretty good bits here and there are a few different endings, but there is a lot of weird stuff that feels like there are scenes missing, so I did find myself pretty lost a few times as I progressed through the game.

The Gold Standard

On the surface, Anno Domini Godfather seems like it would be a pretty straightforward kind of game to play through. You have your lewd visual novel style choices to make, you have a little bit of exploration, and there is also a gold mechanic where you need to grind to make money. The thing is, none of it is fleshed out all that well, and I even came across a dead end, forcing me to reload an older save file! There are many times when you need to grind by going to the same place, only to be told that there is nothing to do or for you there. It is not horrible by any means, but it does feel pretty half-baked.

That Driving Force

While the gameplay and story of Anno Domini Godfather are not going to blow you away, the art in the game is a different story altogether! This game features arguably the hottest take on The Evil Queen from Snow White that I have ever seen, and as someone who loved the show Once Upon a Time, that is saying something. There is also a drop-dead gorgeous version of Princess Jasmine in this game too. There is not a ton of lewd content in the game, but the stuff that is here is fantastic and what kept me wanting to play. To be fair, the characters, even when they are not in an XXX scene, are wearing pretty revealing outfits. If I am being honest, if I did not love the visuals of the game as much as I did, I perhaps would have ditched this game long before I did!

Not The Hottest Blast Of Steam

Now, I feel like I have to do a kind of public service announcement as far as Anno Domini Godfather goes. You see, this is a lewd game that did actually get a release on Steam, but trust me when I tell you, you do not want to play that version of this game! That version of the game is freaking weird and has a bunch of cut content. The story is already kind of all over the place, but if you try and play the Steam version of the game, it makes next to no sense! Not only that, you are missing out on some of the hotter character designs as well. I get they may have been worried about Mickey Mouse coming after them, but I honestly cannot think of another lewd game that did a full release on Steam and cut as much content as this game did.

Pros:

• I would serve this Evil Queen until the day I died!
• Princess Jasmine is very hot, too!
• They have something pretty interesting with the story
• The game has multiple ways that the story can go

Cons:

• The Steam version is butchered and probably a 3/10 game!
• Most of the ideas in the game are pretty half-baked
