Academy Love Saga: Tennis Angels is pretty awesome stuff and a very unusual kind of lewd game. Off the top of my head, I cannot think of another adult sports game like we have here. As the title suggests, this is a tennis game, but it is the most XXX tennis game that you will ever play. Sure, this is on the grindy side, but there is a very addictive quality about the arcade style tennis that this offers, which kept me wanting to progress to either add new players to my harem of tennis babes and, of course, get better gear and stats.

A Path To Redemption

The premise of the story in Academy Love Saga: Tennis Angels is pretty cool. We play the role of an older tennis coach whose best days are well and truly behind him. However, he is working at a club and he sees an opportunity to train a group of hot babes in tennis so that he can take them to the top…. And also take them whenever he wants, if you get what I'm saying. The story has a great sense of humor about it, and there is a great collection of quirky babes, each one having her own personality.

I thought it was best to talk about the actual tennis gameplay on its own. Academy Love Saga: Tennis Angels is somewhere in the vein of an arcade tennis game, think of classics like Super Tennis on the SNES and Virtua Tennis on the Sega Dreamcast. It is not super deep, but it still has a learning curve, and managing your position on the court is a key component when it comes to getting through the earlier and “easier” games. There are special abilities that you can get and use, and some of these are essential for certain games, such as one where your opponent has a crazy fast serve. Honestly, as a tennis game, this is far better than it has any right to be.

Taking It To The Next Level

The stuff around the tennis gameplay is where you will be really tested. You see, Academy Love Saga: Tennis Angels has RPG mechanics where you have to level up and get better, but there is also “gear” that you can buy, for example, a new pair of panties may give a player better speed or power. The thing is, this is one very tough game, and the tournaments can be brutal, and the grind is very, very slow. This is a game that demands you give it some real attention if you want to progress. To be honest, I did not mind this as I actually enjoyed playing tennis. However, I can see why it may be a bit too grindy for some people. You also have a dating sim element as you get to add new “players” to your harem as you progress through the tournaments.

I am a massive fan of the presentation of this game. Academy Love Saga: Tennis Angels is pure eye candy, and there is a great selection of anime tennis babes for you to have fun with. The animated sex scenes are amazing, and the one with the chick bent over the net…. Yeah, that was some next level stuff. The game has a very bright and zany anime vibe to it, and this fits perfectly with the wacky and humorous tone of the story. The rate at which the lewd scenes occur feels very fair, mainly because the gameplay is so much fun, it does not feel like a chore waiting for the next bit of horny action to happen.
