MotoGP 24 is the latest officially licensed racing simulation from developer Milestone that puts players in the saddle of some of the fastest motorcycles in the world. As with the real-life MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 championships, riders can choose from a variety of top manufacturers including Ducati, Yamaha, Suzuki, KTM and more to compete across some of the most iconic circuits on the calendar.

Right from the start, one aspect of MotoGP 24 that stood out compared to other racing titles like Forza Motorsport and Grand Turismo is the incredible sense of speed and adrenaline that comes from piloting a powerful 500cc prototype bike.

Leaning into corners at over 150mph while frantically working the brakes and gear shifts makes for an exhilarating and intense experience that truly captures the danger and thrill of Grand Prix motorcycle racing. The bikes feel light and nimble on track, rewarding precision and perfecting racing lines through each section.

Capturing the Essence of MotoGP

Milestone has done an excellent job of replicating the look and feel of modern MotoGP through detailed 3D scanned tracks, realistic manufacturer riders and mechanics, and a host of authentic presentation elements like rider interviews and promotional videos between sessions.

MotoGP 24 truly captures the essence and excitement of the real-world paddock. It's easy to feel like a genuine factory rider preparing for race day and fighting for championship glory. All that without the risk of, you know, dying if you miss a tight turn. That's definitely a plus!

Three Paths to Victory

MotoGP 24 offers three distinct career paths for players – Moto3, Moto2, and the premier MotoGP class. Each category features unique physics modeling the appropriate machine's handling and performance.

Climbing through the ranks over multiple seasons, riders must prove themselves with results on track in order to earn contract extensions and promotions to the next class. Managing relationships with team sponsors and engineers throughout a season adds strategic layers to each campaign.

Technical Racing Realism

At over 150km/h, even the slightest mistake can mean disaster. MotoGP 24 punishes riders unrealistically with its emphasis on technical racing realism. Getting off line through a corner or misjudging a braking point often results in loss of traction, slides, and spectacular highside crashes.

Combined with variable track and weather conditions like changing tarmac temperatures or light rain, every lap presents new challenges that feel high-stakes. The game also features realistic damage modeling, compounding the tension.

That said, the game still offers a somewhat "arcade" feel that players of Forza Horizon might recognize. It's not exactly Road Rash, but it's still forgiving enough for new players to try.

The game's excellent gameplay, deep career mode, and technical focus on bike physics create an immersive Grand Prix motorcycle racing simulator. While the AI could sometimes be a bit too erratic, Milestone has largely succeeded in their goal of recreating the heart-pounding drama and spectacle of MotoGP.
